How to Create a Weekly Homeschool Schedule (with Multiple Children)

A few posts back, I shared a step-by-step process for putting together a daily homeschool schedule. Today, we'll be looking at creating a weekly homeschool schedule in order to allow for extra-curricular activities and multiple children.

Right now, I am homeschooling three of our children, a 6th grader, 3rd grader, and kindergartener. We group together for many of our studies, using My Father's World curriculum. We also make time for independent support and time with Mom.

This is a general breakdown of the steps I follow when putting together my weekly homeschool schedule:

  1. Write down all homeschool subjects and allotted time frames.

  2. Create time blocks to group subjects and children.

  3. Write down additional daily activities that need to be scheduled.

  4. Schedule extra-curricular activities and time anchors on a weekly grid.

  5. Schedule homeschool subjects and time blocks.

  6. Create and post your daily homeschool schedule.
